MBNA 41 month 0% application glitch

My husband and I have spent all weekend working out the best thing to do with various bits of money owed here and there and decided to go for this card. Did the eligibility check and got 100% so went on and did the online application.
We went all the way through the application. There was a wait with an animated .gif (saying 'processing') while it processed. We then got a message that popped up saying 'your application has been accepted' but before we could read the rest of the message the screen blipped and we got another message saying 'sorry the credit card application page is currently unavailable, please try again later'. We waited to see if we received an email from them, but have had nothing and it's now a couple of hours later. If we try and go back in, it just throws up the same error.
We had a similar glitch on an application a couple of years ago and when we called the cc provider they said the application hadn't come through, but we still had to wait 30 days to reapply, which obviously meant we lost the deal.
MBNA phone lines are closed at the weekend, is there anything else we can try to sort this out or at least find out if our application went through successfully?

Other than checking your credit file to see if a search was made or if you can't do that try maybe using a different internet browser and apply or its waiting till Monday and ringing.

I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago, getting mixed messages. Called them up and was told I had been approved. Try them during office hours0
