Council is forcibly changing the address of my house. Are the banks and credit reference agencies going to think I have moved very recently and I may be declined credit or offered less at worse terms?
Also when applying for credit and it is asking there about any addresses I have lived at in the last 3 years if I put the old address the system may treat this as me having moved. If I however do not mentionned that old address they may feel I am being dishonnest?

How much is it changing? Is it like from '1 High Street' to '1 The High Street?' Or like is it changing, like my friend's road did, from Church Street, to Chapel Street?
It didn't give her any problems or issues though, because the agencies and banks could see it had officially changed and she had not moved. And the postcode was the same. Your postcode will probably stay the same too. It's not really any more likely to give you problems than getting married, and changing your surname.Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!

A notice of correction will be your friend, as you'll be able to add it to your file that you have lived at the same property since x, but that the council decided to change the address from y.
Remember to get it removed if you actually do move in the future though.0
