Flushing radiators with sentinel x400 - any tips?

Morning! Right, his plan is to attach hose to drain on rad in front hall and shut off all other rads. Then open inlet tap on boiler so water will flush through just rad in hall. Then he'll open each rad in turn so the system will flush through one rad at a time ( 13 rads total). He's not planning to use the X400 now as he's not confident about how to get it into the system. Do you think this is ok? CH - no idea whether it was sealed from new as that was about 3 owners ago. I do know that we have to top up with water every so often but there is no sign of a leak anywhere.0

Sounds OK, make sure that someone is watching the hose as you wouldn't want it to come off unattended. Also, try and equalize pressure via filling loop tap so it doesn't rise too high - no more than 1 bar.
It's all probably unnecessary as all you had to begin with was a couple of airlocks which is very normal for a sealed system and easily solved.
Still, it's your Sunday0 -
Thanks EH! Got a jubilee clip for the hose but I'll keep an eye. We did try to get all the air out by lots of bleeding and shutting off rads etc but no dice, one rad still stayed cold at the bottom. I'm stuck with loads of paperwork today anyway so it's no great loss. Let's hope it works!0

cold the bottom usually means sludge, the x400 cleaner should slove this problem.0
