booked flight then operator changes the date

Hi I booked return flights through on the beach.co.uk flight we leaving on a Sunday and returning on a sunday as we have already booked a hotel separately. Chose the flight dates and times and paid. Received a confirmation email the a week later was told Thomas cook had changed the flights to Fri going and Fri returning. No good for us so asked for a refund they have said that they will apply to Thomas cook for a refund once they receive the money they will process it and then refund me. Is this correct I paid onthebeach shouldn't they refund me then claim off if Thomas cook. Its been 2 weeks and still no refund

  • Why didn't you book the flights with Thomas Cook directly?

The process and timescales do seem right Susan.0619 but I would now start chasing OTB this coming week if 14 working days have passed.
  • Otb have options from all different airlines and we just chose these flights as they suited us

OTB get bad reviews on here so I would be chasing them now but yes the timescale is right and no they are not going to refund you before they are refunded.

Hopefully a lesson learnt, it is usually better to book direct with the airline
