I've contacted several providers that both my husband and I have had loans/mortgages with over the years and they have ALL come back as too far back or account not known, the details are definitely correct. What next?

What exactly are you asking ?
If you've had accounts haven't you got all the details ?

Most mortgage PPI is standalone and not built into the mortgage. That is one of the reasons why most MPPI complaints are rejected.

PPI information is not in the public domain. If they have no records and you have no records then a claims company is not going to get hold of any records.

If you have reason for thinking that there was PPI and the records are not that long ago, then you can spend £10 and do a DSAR and see what the lender says.
