Strange email query

My ISP is plusnet
My e mail/domain provider is 1&1
I also have a onetel account which I 'divert' to my gmail
I was getting a few strange bounce messages saying my IP address was blacklisted (? I think?)
So, I have changed my SMTP to my gmail addres
I replied to a btinternet email this morning from my 1&1 account and then, when they replied back, the message came into my gmail account, and the quoted message said 'from J B at onetel'
Can I make this less confusing?????
EDIT - I use Thunderbird for e mails and have five accounts set up in there, two 'my domain', one each of plusnet, gmail and onetel
I also have four SMTP options with gmail as the default'
