Need help with my insurance please

Hello I am a new driver i bought a new car from a
Main dealer believeing it was completely standard. I got insurance on it, payed it upfront and the company came out to install the telematics box, the engineer told me that he could not install the box as my car had non standard alloy wheels. I phoned my insurance company up they told me that my policy will be cancelled. I will loose some of my money plus I will have no transport to work. I phoned the dealer they said that the wheels are standard. Phoned Volkswagen they told me that steel wheels should be on it. Where do I stand what do I do someone please help?
