  • When I was a kid we lived in our (towing) caravan for 11 weeks. 2 adults and 3 children under 6. My vague memories of it are that it was brilliant, and my parents also remember it fondly!

Only you can judge the relationship with your parents. I know some who have loved it, and others who definitely outstayed their welcome. If you do stay with parents you could look at having cheap (premier inn etc) weekends away- it'll still be cheaper than renting and would mean you could have a bit of space from each other 1/2 nights a week or fortnight.

I coud never move back into my parents and it's only me, I have own way of living, and think my Dad has sort of OCD with tidying, and would drive me insane.

Look for cheap night(s) away to spread the load, these can be for yourselves or treats for parent(s).

surprising how cheap some places can be when you are 100% flexible.

As said there may be weekly/monthly options very local.

if mum does not work there may even be holiday options with cheap flights.
