Managed to remember where cards and gifts were but we have agreed that we'll wait until DS gets up, so poor chap won't be getting an thing until later.

LaineyT I hope that you will be able to have as much time as possible with your mum.

It us grey here and quite chilly. I have had a bath and made the front of a baby cardie. And read.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • Grey and wet here today so no washing planned, only got one load to do anyway, so no great hurry.

DH told me with glee that he got cold last night and had to use the quilt :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Had a podiatry appointment yesterday and once again got told off for wearing sandals, oh well... But the corn is no longer as painful as it was.

We are off to Whipsnade Zoo tomorrow because it is Elephantastic weekend, bit too wet to go today, so fingers crossed for a nice day.

Going to see the outlaws this afternoon because we can't do it tomorrow, MIL gets upset if we don't go and see them at the weekend.

Physio on Wednesday and I have to phone up about so called emergency appointment with spinal surgeon on Monday

Had the sad news that an old neighbour and good friend has died :( This year has been bloody awful for losing family members and friends, the lady who was killed with her children on the M6 lived 8 doors away from MIL :(.

Lainey I am sending lots of (((((Hugs))))) your way, I hope that your Mum isn't in too much pain.

Waffled on for too long, must go and finish the vacuuming because DH wants to clean the rugs and Hall/Landing and Stairs, then he wants to do two of the bedrooms, (good job he is in the cleaning/maintenance trade) we can forget about DD's it is too crammed, they went to the council last week so hopefully they might get a place soon.

    BFN xx

Yes, I went back to sleep, and it was lovely. Now I've taken down and washed two net curtains which are already dry, been to the tip with the forgotten rubbish, been to the butcher for some diced steak and venison sausages and sprayed some weeds. Also picked and eaten a handful of blackberries from the hedgerow.

I phoned the local window cleaner to get my windows done, they are splattered with salt spray and I can't reach. Think I'll get a regular wash next spring. Now that the nets are down the upstairs is flooded with much more light (would be even more if the windows were clean) so I'm reluctant to put them back up. Trouble is that the bedroom and loo both face the front and so the main track too. I tried to get blinds measured and fitted but there's not a company nearby so that came to nowt. Not sure....

Just the DW to empty and a quick flick of the vacuum and I can relax and read some more.

Lainey - take all the time you can with your Mum, you'll not regret it.
  • Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))if you need one, especially Lainey. Happy birthday to anyone who has a birthday today.

Well I got breakfast in bed, first time since the beginning of July I slept in. OH got up, showered and then brought me my breakfast, did not rise to meet the world until 10.30.

Easy day today, I made some scones and have a loaf on, we are almost out of bread. Have been messing about with a block for a mat/wall hanging.

Still waiting to hear about the heating. I will have to strip the back bedroom down and move the freezer from the corner for the engineers to get the old storage rad out, I will take the opportunity to give that bit of the bedroom a good clean before the stuff goes back. We will be eating out of that freezer so its not so heavy to move when the time comes. Its stuffed full just now.

Nasty wet day, very tempted to light the fire, managed to hold off so far.

Macaroni cheese for supper, will go a tomato and cucumber salad to go with it. We have bowls of tomato's everywhere. I need to make some of them into passata.

Middle dd came round last night and stayed over for breakfast and light lunch before a friend picked her up to go to the airport for a short holiday. She gets back Thursday and has a wedding to go to the next day so we popped into the designer outlet and looked at dresses. She was trying on a couple when I saw a "last chance" rail and one black dress with a lovely emerald jade modern floral leapt out at me. It was her size and the only one in the store so I took it to where she was and she loved it :j

Two dds and son in law are coming round tomorrow morning for a brunch so have some home made bread, low fat sausages and bacon, eggs and baked beans for them to choose from.

    Lainey

I hope you all get the chance to spend as much time as you can and your Mum is as pain free as possible. Hug Bill for us all.

My electrics went yesterday morning and I eventually worked out it is my new double oven so until I get hold of the electrician it will be the gas hob, slow cooker or Remoska.

Two parcels just arrived which should be new slippers and a couple of dresses in the sales which I will ask dds opinion on tomorrow.

Breakfast in bed sounds very posh and I hope you enjoyed it. DD did make me a cup of coffee this morning while I made egg and toast for us.

    Hugs to all
