Does anyone know if these operate their own (preferably UK) call centres if you need to speak to them or do you get put through to Mumbai or somewhere overseas?
Seems a decent offer as I buy quite a bit from them, and of course they're doing a half-decent 0% on new purchases.

UK, even at 1 o'clock in the morning.

Just opened an account, and their customer service has been excellent so far - both in terms of paperwork and telephone contact.0 -
JL is run by HFC, which sits under HSBC.Am currently slow stoozing an M&S card and I believe JL is same group. Had I better wait until I've paid off that card before applying?
However, I don't think the relationship is particularly 'close' for two reasons...
1. You can balance transfer from HSBC to M&S, and
2. You can hold both HSBC and M&S cards at the same time.0 -
The partnership card is good - okay not the best loyalty rate around at 0.5% elsewhere and 1% in JL stores/Waitrose, but still better than nothing and the gift vouchers when they arrive are a nice surprise every four months. The call centre is in Birmingham only and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Good customer service in that a month or so ago I made a few major purchases online and they called me directly to query them which I thought was good.0

Cool thanks all - think that's settled it.0

I Just wanted to comment that another benefit of the card is the 2% (£50 maximum) charge for a balance transfer which is still available. This seems to be an exceptionally low balance transfer fee when many other credit cards are charging 3% with no maximum charge.0
