Ryanair Confused

I hope someone can help as I am confused. I too booked two flights in their super sale. I was aware of the fact that you had to pay for each item of baggage. I therefore booked one bag for each passenger (I assumed that this was per passenger for both flights) at €12 each, totalling €24.
Having read through my booking confirmation again, I noticed the following:
"Customers wishing to check baggage into the hold of the aircraft must pay a Baggage Fee for each item of checked baggage, per flight. The Baggage Fee can be prepaid either at the airport, or through a Ryanair call centre, at
the rate of 7GBP/10EUR) (»10/€12 for all flights from the 1st March 2007
onwards) per item of baggage/per one-way flight."
Now this would make me think that I only paid for one bag per passenger but for only one way.
However, having read their table of fees online Link, it appears that the price per piece of baggage should only be €6 Per Passenger/ Per One Way Flight, which would mean that my total of €24 should cover both bags on both flights.
Has anyone had any experience with this and can confirm/advise? I am not complaining about Ryanair or the charges, all I am trying to find out is where I stand as I think the booking confirmation and the info on their website is contradictive.
Thanks.

If you pay the baggage charge at the time of booking then it is cheaper than if you choose to do it later (phone or airport). This space has been intentionally left blank0

Thanks, but what I need to know is: What does my €24 baggage fee cover? Is it both bags on one flight as per the email or both bags on both flights as per their rate table?0

If you booked both your outbound and return flights at the same time and paid for baggage at that time too, the charge will cover your baggage in both directions. This space has been intentionally left blank0

I bought both flights at the same time and paid for the baggage at that time too.

Yep, GTB is correct (as always*). If you book a 'return' online you can only book luggage for both legs, not just one.
* I'm such a creep!
Gone ... or have I?0 -
I only paid for the baguage once and was able to bring mine back if thats any help lol!0

Another Ryanair wheeze to extract more money from the customer as some people will have luggage one way - eg shopping trip or taking stuff to a holiday home.If you book a 'return' online you can only book luggage for both legs, not just one.
In which case you will have to book both legs separately.0 -
Yes, but if they read their T&C`s they will know this, so I can`t see how it`s a "wheeze".0

Exactly where does it say in the T&Cs that if you book "return" flights that you HAVE to pay for checked bags in both directions regardless of whether you need checked bags in both directions. Normally Ryanair are very good at saying exactly what they mean because they know that most people won't take a blind bit of noticeYes, but if they read their T&C`s they will know this, so I can`t see how it`s a "wheeze".

Just one point though on baggage T&Cs - it says Passengers may not use the unused checked baggage allowance of other passengers which if read one way would stop people put their items into other people's luggage.0
