AIP - Any lenders just soft check credit file?

Options
Evening all, as per title, do any lenders just do a soft credit check for an AIP?

Thanks in advance

Is there a reason why you are looking for a soft footprint?
If its due to bad credit, its probably better to try and find the right lender rather than one that does a soft footprint.

Thanks ACG, just didn't wNt to affect my credit files with the application. Have just gone through Yorkshire BS for a house purchase and was approved AIP but the did a proper check.

Now just need to decide if moving to the worst house in the best (and I mean where we've always wanted to live) from the best house in a a very good street is worth the extra cost 😵

You have an agreement in principle from one lender with a full credit check and you want to do another credit check with a different lender who does a soft footprint?

I think im missing something. Im not sure where the logic is in that. The full credit check is going to be more reliable than the soft footprint.

no mate, sorry didn't explain. I waited for your replies to confirm my suspicion that very few did. once it was confirmed I pressed submit on one AIP only. Thanks for your advice,

My first time felt like a kid at Christmas when it came back accepted. Especially as it was a case with Future Mortgages, so you can imagine my nerves.

Before my time I think, I have only been a broker since late 2012.
My first one referred, turns out it was just something I had done wrong. My bdm told me what to change and it was an accept. I felt that horrible feeling you get at the pit of your stomach when something is like the end of the world.

The modern dip forms ask so many questions, in so many different ways, with frequent use of double negatives, it is a wonder we ever get one passed.
