M42 3a to 2 Cameras ?

Hi,
Does anyone know what the poles on the side of the M42 are from junction 3a to 2 (Hopwood services) .

They are spaced out every couple of hundred metres and have a square pod on them?

I know 3a to 7 the other way is full of cameras - but going from 3a to 2 are these also cameras?

    Hi Wilfred and welcome to MSE forums.

    I think that you have posted this in the wrong place - this sub-forum concerns itself with parking tickets and such.

    I suggest that you post it again in the general 'motoring' forum, where lots more folks will see it and perhaps be able to answer your query.

    I use the M42 regularly and haven't seen these poles but I'll look out for them next time I'm down that way.

    They're possibly for traffic monitoring. Definitely not cameras.
