Fibreglass vs EPDM

I have a 2nd story flat roof that needs replacing. The size is about 4m x 3m.

Is there a general consensus about which is better? Or is it a decision governed by price?

I havent used EPDM, ive used fibreglass though, look to pay around £90 a metre, not a great fan of EPDM, as ive seen some really bad ones, I know there are good too, but just my experience on jobs. Mineral felt, around £50 per metre.

I've used EPDM on 3 roofs and 2 large sheds, first lot I put on 3-4 yrs ago still looks like new, an area 3 x 4 would be easy to do, but you do need to get the proper guttering and side fittings, all my roofs were in good condition so I just laid new plywood sheets then covered with the EPDM system

Go GRP, it is now 60 years old and there are no recorde failures, bloody messy though, and yes, i HAVE INSTALLED WHICH IS WHY i RECOMMEND.

Fibreglass is more correctly known as GRP, (glass reinforced polyester), always glad to help with a chaps education, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
