Another vote for normal cardboard boxes covered in Christmas paper. Baskets are nice, but not everyone will have the space, or want to keep them, and so money better spent elsewhere (unless they are the type to appreciate a basket or bag).DFW - Paid so far - 0% CC's - £2 / £2000, £27 / £1200, £32 / £1800,

One year I didn't have enough saved jam jars so I nipped to tesco and brought the cheapest jars I could find ( I seem to remember it was value marmalade that year) and I emptied the contents . Just had a look on line and the value marmalade is just 27p which I think is cheaper than buying new jars0

I made film night hampers last year. I covered strong cardboard boxes with white paper and glued on various film related sillouettes, film reels, film frames, cine cameras, etc. It looked very effective. You could maybe use food related pictures, or the recipient's favourite foodie celeb or tv prog!
This year I have bought some really pretty glasses from an antique shop, just £2 each (:)). I haven't quite decided what goodies to put in them. Maybe HM biscuits or shortbread in xmas shapes, or chocolates with pretty cello and ribbon, they should look appealing - the glass is a soft pink tint.. Depends what else I decide for my hampers. Am just about to write a suggestion list to get my thoughts sorted out!
I love HM gift ideas and I love pretty packaging ideas!
