Patti Smith is to headline an exclusive and intimate show as part of Jack Daniel’s birthday celebrations next month – and you could be there!

No one's sure of the exact date of Mr Jack's Birthday as the records were destroyed in a fire at the county courthouse, what we do know if that it was sometime in September 1850, so the folk at Jack Daniel's simply celebrate throughout the entire month of September.

The special birthday gig will take place at the legendary Jack Daniel distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, where rock singers Juliette Lewis and Shingai from The Noisettes will play an exclusive performance alongside Patti Smith to just 200 lucky fans.

Uncut.co.uk in conjunction with Jack Daniel’s is offering one winner plus a friend the chance to fly out to Tennessee for an amazing rock’n’roll weekend with flights and 4-star accommodation included!

Birthday celebrations will include an authentic southern BBQ, a tour of the famous distillery, followed by the exclusive music event in the evening, when the celebrations really begin.

Punk-poetess Patti Smith performed the last ever show at CBGB in New York last night (October 15).

Playing for three and a half hours, to a full capacity venue, Smith performed versions of The Velvet Underground's “Pale Blue Eyes”, Blondie's the “Tide Is High”, and a blistering rendition of The Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop.”
