Unusual Praise - Car Hire Firm Abroad

Had a hire car from Sixt at Faro airport back in July this year.
On collection we made some changes to the prepaid booking - adding a driver and the "don't have to return full" fuel option (yes - I know its a dear way of buying fuel, but for the extra cost, I can forgo the joys of finding the nearest open petrol station to the airport at 5:30 in the morning and such like). Due to arriving with my usual post flight thumping headache etc I just paid the sum asked without too much scrutiny and got to the hotel and a darkened room.
Back in the UK we look at the bill and realise that the prepaid amount had been taken again at the desk. Decided that trying to chase this through a car hire firm in a foreign country was going to be a lot of aggro for no result, and chalked it down to a lesson learned and to watch more closely in future.
So very surprised to see on my credit card statement this month an extra credit. Totally unprompted, Sixt have refunded the error.
