Thanks to a courthouse fire that destroyed his birth certificate, nobody’s really sure of Mr Jack’s exact birthday so it’s celebrated all month long. It’s a hard life I know, but it’s the least you can do, after all, the legendary distiller would have been 157 this year.
Those kind folk from Lynchburg Tennessee - where every drop is made - know how to do things in style and are inviting one winner and a friend to the Jack Daniel’s homeland to join in their celebrations and take part in a once in a lifetime rock’ n’ roll weekender from 12–14 October with flights and accommodation thrown in.
The birthday prize includes a southern-style BBQ and a personal tour of the distillery as well as the exclusive Birthday JD Set where the legendary Patti Smith is lining up with Juliette Lewis from the Licks and Shingai from The Noisettes, all backed by The New Silver Cornet Band.
Just 200 people will attend and you could be one of them. All you have to do is answer the following question correctly and slap it in an email to Raz [at] DrownedinSound [dot] com with the subject Mr Jack’s Birthday. Entrants must be over 21 years old and in possession of a passport, oh and please add your phone number. Easy peasy.
