problem connecting wireless printer to wifi

I am not a complete novice but this printer is driving me round the bend. I have already had 2 new printers in the past year, but my darling cats knocked both of them off the desk and rendered them useless. This time I bought an as-new reconditioned one (all have been HP ones) and tried to connect it to my wifi today with no luck. Please can someone help me out with this. I would like to print from my iphone (the first one I bought last year was used for this and I installed it with no problems). This new one is HP Deskjet 36 30 all in one series.

Whats the issue? run the setup wizard. As its used its probably looking for the previously setup wifi.

As above, connect the printer via USB to your PC and run the setup wizard.

Get rid of the cats first. One printer could be a mistake, two printers is a sign.....

But more seriously. Log the printer into the wifi manually (I always find it causes less problems this way) and then download and run the latest driver - don't use the setup CD as they do not always contain the latest drivers.
