Parking ticket when I was exempt

Slightly confused..

I worked at South Minns service station last year for a month or so. I received parking fines at the time, showed these to my manager who cancelled them and made sure my details were entered for the exemption.

Fast forward 1 year and 3 months. I have just received two debt collection agency letters for 05/06/15 and 11/06/15 both demanding £160.00

Do I phone the agency and explain, no doubt they will not care. Or phone my old employment and ask what is going on?

I kinda left on bad terms.

They are not fines, they are speculative invoices.

You can safely ignore debt collectors. The Sticky thread for NEWBIES explains why it is safe to do so, as well as the best way to beat unfair parking charges in the future. A landowner/occupier cancellation is always best as you have gone for, but a belt and braces appeal process should also be done in parallel. Unfortunately this option is no longer available to you.

You should contact your former manager in writing and ask him/her to resolve the issue.

Thank you, I'll write to them and send copies of the debt letters :)

It seems odd how so much time has lapsed then to suddenly get debt collector letters

How come the letters are dated June 2015, yet you have only just got them?

South Mimms' Finance Manager has cancelled these in the past after one phone call so there should be no worries. You must deal with it though or ParkingEye will sue you which is far more difficult to quash.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

I would think those are the dates of the PCN's issued last year and now being chased 1 year and 3 months later.
