Well they ain't gonna work for free.

Mine goes up a bit each year, I shop about and find it cheaper then my company match their price.

Mine always increases so I use the comparison sites. IAM surety quoted £245 and Direct line quoted £170, guess which I went for.

Of course it goes up, didn't you know the inflation rate is 0.6%?

That means pretty much everything that you have to buy:
    Insurance
    Poll Tax
    Water Rates
    Petrol
    Cable TV
    Car Tax

goes up massively (20% on cable TV, 4% on the Poll Tax spring to mind), yet somehow you don't get a pay rise, and any savings you have are better off under the bed where you can count them.

    Go Figure ;)
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

You get a discount off the base price, but the base price goes up every year so it doesn't get much cheaper, if at all.

I feel your pain, insurance costs me the price of a pint each week. It's been hot and I'm thirsty.

You'll just have to wait until your life is near its end, you drive a rubbish car and you've had no claims for many years. Wish I was young again and paying loads for a car that I could race around in, just joking.

And of course if you get points from speeding on your licence then your insurance will go up more.

Is absolutely everything in the country you have chosen to live in 'hideous'? It seems to be the case, so maybe the escalating cost of insurance will finally make you decide to leave for one of the paradise countries that you seem otherwise so reluctant to move to.
