Can anyone help me please? I'm trying to import my contacts into Windows Live Mail, but the file type is Contact file (contact), opening with Windows Contacts. This doesn't seem to be recognised by WLM, so does anyone know if there's a way to convert these files to a supported type, such as CSVs please? Any help greatly appreciated.

You haven't helped things by not telling us which version of Windows you are using, but this appears to suggest a method for Windows 7.

Sorry! I'm using Windows 10. Tried the link you kindly sent, but no go.0 -
From where are you trying to import your contacts file? Did you previously export your contacts into a .csv file?0

I'm trying to import them into WLM from a folder retrieved from my cloud backup, but whatever I do, they remain as contact files and don't appear to be convertible or importable into WLM. They worked fine in WLM when they were backed up, but now I don't know what to do.0 -
I assumed the OP was telling it exactly as it is, and that they are in .contact format in Windows Contacts (it's what mine are in, but I only use them in that format).0

They are in .contact yes, which seems fine but it appears unsupported by WLM, where they came from originally, which only appears to support .CSV, .WAB and.VCF0 -
Windows Live Mail is no longer supported by Microsoft - unless you have a very good reason, you might want to consider other email software...0
