Redundancy payment date

I was made redundant as of today. I was expecting the payment today but they've just advised that it will be made as normal on 28th of month as if I was getting salary. Is that right? Can I ask for interest?!?

It's whenever they pay it. In my case it was 1 month after my final salary payment.
