Supercard and AliExpress

in Credit cards
Heard about both of these from the MSE website so thought I would give them a whirl.
Joined Supercard to add my normal credit card, and then used that card to purchase goods via AliExpress in US$, debited from my normal credit card in GBP.
First three transactions went swimmingly well.
Then, on a fourth, AliExpress decided that they wanted me to verify my account by sending them a colour image of my driver licence or passport; colour images of both sides of my credit card; and a clear copy of my latest credit card statement.
I refused on security grounds, so they cancelled my order.
Fair enough, I thought. No loss. I was only buying t-shirts anyway, which I later got via eBay for less than a pound more.
But then the shock.
Despite the order being cancelled, Supercard had paid AliExpress the cost of that order! Just under $15.
When that transaction disappeared from my spending on the Supercard account, I thought all was well again.
But then I checked my credit card statement and noticed that the GBP equivalent had been paid to Supercard **AliExpress anyway!
Rang Supercard and was told that it would be reimbursed within a week.
Week later, no reimbursement.
Rang again and was told to send proof of transaction on statement.
Sent that, only to receive another email stating basically, okay, now fill in this four page form and post it, yes snail mail, to Germany, with supporting documentation (which had already been supplied).
Looks like I may have to spend more money then, to recover monies owed. Hardly, money saving.
I think MSE need to be careful about the products and sites they promote as not all are for the benefit of the consumer.
Anyone else experienced this with these comanies?
