The information on my report is out of date - fair enough, they lag behind by 4-8 weeks.

But why does it state that a recent change was updated with a date of 18/09 ... that's right 3 days away!

It also is hard to find info on when the next update is due but that's just an observation that i'm not bothered about really.

Has anyone else had this post dated info recorded on their file and if so, can anyone shed light on the reason?

ETA: This info is already well out of dateband due to be updated before end of the month if that is their policy e.g this update is 2 usual updates ago.

TIA

    Hi Tia,

I think you need to speak to Experian directly and ask when the file is normally updated and why something has been recorded as the 18th September 2016. If you call them make sure things are backed up in writing/email and hopefully you can get to the bottom of this. It may simply be an admin error.

    Thanks for reply.

The reason is apparently because the relevant lender will not be making any changes before that date. I'm not sure how one is expected to know that but should anyone have the same query, that's what it is.

I have noticed the same thing with regard to my mortgage - on 16th September was showing last updated 18th September.
I was wondering if the actual reason could be that the updates are due on a specific date so if the information is received early by the CRA they update the credit file showing the 'due' date rather than the actual date?
