Hello.
I remember last year that Lloyds brought a savings account out that when you used your debit card, they would round the sum up to the nearest pound and deposit the change into a savings account. do they still do this and what is it called as I have looked on their website but can't find it mentioned anywhere.
thanks in advance.

They are in collusion with shops where all the prices end in 99p meaning they only have to fork out 1p ... I think we need to look for shops where the price ends in 1p so that we get 99p

They don't "fork out" anything Ivan. They move one of your own pennies from your current account to your savings account.IvanOpinion wrote: »They are in collusion with shops where all the prices end in 99p meaning they only have to fork out 1p ... If everything was priced at £x.01, you'd soon empty your current account.
Maybe you're thinking of the matching promotion they ran earlier this year when they lauched the scheme?0 -

AFAIK They don't fork out anything since the pennies used to round up to the nearest Pound will be debited from the customer's account.0 -
