Hi
I have had Exactly the same as you same car park same circumstances probably the same guys on the site as well they guided me into the parking bay to park. Can I ask the latest on your case did you fight/appeal or have you paid I won't be paying I'm going to fight.
How can they send demand invoices for not parking fully within bay when their staff guided the vehicle in! Im Fuming.
Also can I ask was the first you knew a letter in the post or discount you have something your windscreen on the day of parking

Because they can, because no-one stops them. It's that simple.

We hope you've read the NEWBIES thread near the top of this forum and know not to imply who was driving. If you have further questions about your case please start your own thread; it can go badly wrong if we try to advise two people on two cases on one thread.

As I mentioned in #9, this is more than a mistake, it's a scam ! By the sound of it there are staff on the ground, yet pcn's are being issued by post rather than at the time, probably to avoid confrontation. All the posters are saying the same thing - that they were assisted to park by staff and given the 'thumbs up'!

If the word 'Dishonesty' raises its ugly head within the equation, then it becomes a crime and not a civil matter. An M.O. can clearly be identified - first allow the victim to park with your assistance and inform them it's okay. Allow them to leave (99.9% will be tourists so not living locally) then issue a pcn and wait to see how many cough up.

This is far worse than the UKCP 'time stamp' as at least then a NTD pcn was immediately issued, warning the driver of its potential outcome.

The Parking Prankster blogged in August this year about MIL collections losing in court regarding an alleged debt for not parking fully within a marked bay they had purchased from Parking Awareness Blackpool

The Judge stated that the parking bays were only big enough for a mini and concluded that parking within two solid white lines and paying the tariff was sufficient to adhere to the signage.
