Hello all,
I have got a quote of £2700 to refurbish a 2m x 1.9m bathroom and was wondering if it is fair quote. I am supplying all the materials so the cost of £2700 is purely for labour cost and removal of old units.
Labour cost includes
- Disconnect and disposal of bath, basin, toilet and radiator
- Installation of 90cmx90cm shower, 60cm wide basin, cabinet, mirror, Toilet unit, heated towel rail
- Removal of old door and install a new bathroom door.
- Tiling of all four walls (16m2 and floor 3m2)
- Shower location will be at end of the existing bath position so may need bit of pipe works. Toilet will be as it is, Basin will be moved away by about 50cm from where it is requiring extension on the pipework.
Appreciate if someone with experience of refurbishing similar size of work could confirm the quote.
( back to victoria plumbing and soak.com to check out some basins
)

I would say yes, that is a fair price.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

damn.. is that price really fair????
I recently did 1:1 of what you have there myself and I also have 4m2 area, it took me 6days to do all that (not full days,had to do other stuff as well) , I had never done tiling before so probably took me 2x as long as needed ,but came out pretty nice. I would say it's probably a 3day job to a professional after having done it myself .
I'm not sure where you are but that sounds more like a £700 job not £2700.
I should change my profession
If someone were to offer me now £700 for that, I would go and do that in my spare time..0 -
£1200 for the plumbing. £180 carpentry. £350 tiling. misc. allow £250. total £1,980. just done 4, similar size. Looks like he has whacked on about £1k as profit margin.0
