Ap like Siri for iPhone 4

Is there an ap which can be downloaded on to an iPhone 4 which speaks to you like Siri? The person said their friend had the ap and the ap told their friend about the weather, distance they were for the town they named, etc.

The person this is for said it was called Google but although I Googled it I am obviously searching using the wrong terms.

It's the Google app, and it requires iOS 8 which is only available on the iPhone 4S and above.
