I'm not underestimating what you've got to contend with but believe me you can do it; you do have options. Wow, a fellow L.A accountant; I thought I was the only one in the country that had got into this mess; and got out of it.:D

You're a saint by comparison Kattin,

I could say some unkind things about your O.H but it wouldn't serve any useful purpose. It'll be far more rewarding seeing you adopt the right approach (whatever that may be) and solving your problems without his help.

I'm sure once you've spoken to CCCS and had time to reflect you'll start to see a way forward; it might not be bankruptcy, only the professionals can suggest that, but there will be a way forward.:D

What would happen to the house if i went BK as it seems my EX ish OH wants to be Winner Takes iit ALL!

All i know is i want to be DF before it kills me

Should i puss for B/K as opposed to IVA/DMP????

He can't be winner takes it all. Your equity (Benefical Interest) in the house would rest with the O.R. Your O.H could either buy the O.R's B.I or they'd repossess and sell the house.

That's what I mean about not being able to resolve this by doing your own thing. Together you'll resolve it; any other way and you'll both lose.

It depends on how you see your future relationship with your O.H as to what is best for you as an individual at this point in time. When you've got that clear in your own mind then you'll very quickly find the answers.
