Kattin,
I'm not underestimating what you've got to contend with but believe me you can do it; you do have options. Wow, a fellow L.A accountant; I thought I was the only one in the country that had got into this mess; and got out of it.:D

Heres's my rant i have been an idiot by trying to cover our llifestylre without seeking his help! more fool me as he now has a delightful number of idol possessions we could selll....i/e PSP, X Box 360 and 2 unecessary large TV's etc..
Rave i approached CCS who advised as i am an accountant i would lose my job....albeit i may deserve it but i handle the accounts at work superbly.
Reflection..i have lived foolishly and erracticaly beacause of some personal stuff...no excuse!
I will reassess tomorrow and revert back to you.
Thanks again
You're a saint by comparison Kattin,
I could say some unkind things about your O.H but it wouldn't serve any useful purpose. It'll be far more rewarding seeing you adopt the right approach (whatever that may be) and solving your problems without his help.
I'm sure once you've spoken to CCCS and had time to reflect you'll start to see a way forward; it might not be bankruptcy, only the professionals can suggest that, but there will be a way forward.:D

Mr LA Law????  More Mr Lawless I think.;)
He can't be winner takes it all. Your equity (Benefical Interest) in the house would rest with the O.R. Your O.H could either buy the O.R's B.I or they'd repossess and sell the house.
That's what I mean about not being able to resolve this by doing your own thing. Together you'll resolve it; any other way and you'll both lose.
It depends on how you see your future relationship with your O.H as to what is best for you as an individual at this point in time. When you've got that clear in your own mind then you'll very quickly find the answers.0
