Solicitors costs and house insurance.

Hi, I'm wondering if someone could give me some advice.
We've been involved in a neglect claim against the NHS, they've admitted all liability. Today we've received a settlement offer from them, it's an offer that we want to accept.
The solicitor is saying that if the NHS don't accept all her costs that side of things could then go to court and we could end up loosing up to 20% of the settlement offer. What I'm wondering is, this whole claim has been done using the liability cover I have with the house insurance, they have had regular updates and have authorised things as its gone along, so, will the house insurance take on any costs or will we loose a percentage of the settlement offer?
We have to ring the solicitor tomorrow so I'm trying to find out where we stand before we speak to her.
Thanks.

Who instructed the solicitor - you or the insurance company?
What have you signed as a contract when they took the case on?
Unless the solicitors are taking the p^^s with costs if the NHS have admitted liability I can't see a problem.
If you decide to go to court you could get more?0 -
Thanks for the reply.
The insurance company asked if we had a solicitor, they asked who, after that all dealings went between them.
We've just spoken to her, she says if it comes down to it the insurance will pay the bill, we should get the full amount awarded.
I know the claim could have been higher, but for me it was making people face up to what they've done, making the medical profession face up to the fact that patients are people, not slabs of meat! Weve had a few meetings with the health trust, changes have been made, hopefully no one will have to go through the hell we've been through.0
