Avoid the Svejk_Restaurant

The reviews are accurate it is a total tourist trap right in the centre of the city with a nice view. They must sting hundreds of people every day. I wish I had read them before we were ripped off there last week. We got charged 200 Kc for bread per person, plus other charges - the meal came to £35 for 2 when we got the exact same meal for £17 not too far away. After presenting me with the huge bill they had the cheek to ask for a tip. We made a fuss and demanded a refund but they were having none of it. In hindsight I should have given them just the money for the food we actually ate and left, and let them call the police if they wanted, but that is more difficult if you are not carrying the cash. Best idea is to avoid that place altogther, it was a bloody good job we didn't eat any of the complimentary looking preztels hanging on the table, or the bill would have been even higher.

They ruined our experience of Prague, they give the city a bad name and really really deserve to go out of business, a total con.

Depends on your interests, but I would second the suggestion of the church where the commandoes who were sent to assassinate Heydrich holed up, if you have seen the film Operation Daybreak, or get the chance to see it before you travel, you will find it more interesting. The museum dedicated to their memory is really very good.
