Application for Rectification - any experiences?

Hello all!
Very briefly, we had an offer accepted in December, valuation completed mid-January. In late March the solicitors identified how the OS map's boundary is different from the Land Registry's title. The OS is correct, so an application for rectification has to be made.
The vendor, her neighbour and their respective lenders have to sign a document, or be counter signatories on a letter, to say they all see it's an error, is not subject to dispute and should therefore be straightforward to remedy.
It's now been with Halifax (the vendor's lender and final stakeholder to sign it off) for five weeks, after the neighbour's (Danske Bank) returned it within seven weeks.
It hopefully indicates light at the end of this tunnel, but I'm just waiting for something to go wrong... Our solicitor has said if the application meets his requirements, and he has evidence it is lodged, he will title it for lending.
Has this happened to anyone else? Also, would you recommend waiting for the whole rectification process to complete before we exchange or take the solicitor's word if he thinks it's straightforward enough?
Thank you! :T

or take the solicitor's word if he thinks it's straightforward enough?
No
Thank you! :T0 -
Thanks G_M!
So you think that, as soon as the application is in and it can be titled for lending, we should trust that? Rather than wait for the rectification to complete? How long does that take?
Many thanks in advance for your information. I'm sure you'll get your reward in heaven

Quick update for anyone interested...
We've now had the document signed and returned by all stakeholders. Our solicitor will check it over and title it for lending, providing he's happy with the application.
Just as I was losing faith!
If anyone else is going through this, it definitely requires patience, and it's impossible to know how long it could take. Such is life!0
