the enhanced disability premium is payable with all other income related benefits ( as long as conditionality is met) and is not part of ESA.

the basic ESA amounts ( the basic rate plus the group component) are the same for both contributions based and income related.

the severe disability premium is also payable as a premium with income related ESA but is not paid automatically.

the enhanced disability premium can also be paid to those in the WRAG.

you are not being clear when each particular premium is or is not payable as none are part of ESA itself but an addition to many benefits

Can we simply all agree that the OP needs to get the ESA3 (Change of circumstances) form back a.s.a.p? Discussion about which premiums are available to whom and when will then become academic. The OP's head must be spinning! :-)

Also the OP may want to fill in and send off an HC1 form, as she may well be able to get help with dental, and optical, and travelling expenses to hospital or clinic appointments etc.

A friend of mine and his wife had a low-ish income (less than £16K) and they only had to pay the first £33 for dental. And they got about a third off glasses. And she is on DLA and gets free prescriptions. If you have a chronic illness you may be entitled to them too.

If you are not, then look into a prepayment certificate. It's £104 for a year, but gives you unlimited prescriptions.

You can get both of these from the pharmacy I think! :)

That's the thing I've been trying to get across while someone insists on arguing about whether premiums are parts of they benefit that pays them. Which of course they are. Even if other benefits can also pay them. The end result is the ESA award for Income Related Support Group will always be higher than its contributory award where no other income, capital exists.

OP, ring DWP and request ESA3, complete and return it as soon as possible (Once issued you have to return it within a specific time prriod).
