I successfully won my PIP tribunal on the 15th August, it was previously adjourned on 27th july as the DWP and me had no paperwork to present the judge and no medical records.
When I went to my 1st tier appeal the 2nd time, they use my medical records and application form and what I said to award the enhance rate from the 13/1/16, where I got 13 points. I did had to have the clerk come in with me, as my carer had a flat tyre and didn't make it on time, and my representive got the wrong date.
I got social anxiety, depression, insomnia, anxiety, BPD, eating disorder and transgender. I was awarded it on the base of my BPD and my eating disorder, but was also on suicide watch by my doctor due to the stress of the pip appeal. got really scared on the day, I had to take a walking stick, because of my jelly legs.
I got the letter from the dwp, saying they wont pay you, until after they get statement of reasons? The letter I got on 16/8/16 and the period ends on 16/9/16, when I phoned the PIP people. Got a copy of the statement of reasons last week.
As it ends this Friday, how much longer I'm I looking at waiting until I get my backpay and how long until the ESA gets bumper up and backpay? I search online and their is no specific timescales on it, so would like to find a clear answer. Thank you.

If you've won and the DWP have requested the tribunals statement of reasons they may be appealing the decision, they have 28 days to request the SOR then a further period to actually appeal once the SOR has been issued.
If they don't request within 28 days they can't appeal. For most awards they won't bother and will pay out and then receive the SOR in due course and it just gets filed away.0 -
the statement of reasons was dated the 15/8/16, would that mean it could be back payed soon if they don't appeal. if they don't appeal, how long does it take afterwards to get the payment? you mention they have another 28 days to appeal, does that mean I got another 3 weeks to wait, as I received the statement of reasons last week. just a bit confused on the whole matter. thanks 4 any advice you can clear up, will be ringing the dwp tomorrow to see what the status is. as don't really fancy waiting another month.0

Sorry for posting again, rang the PIP people today and they said that they received my statement of reasons on the 12/9/16. Where they have reset the time frame to appeal and I got to wait until the 12/10/16 to hear any news, if they will be sending a letter to stand by the tribunal decision or appeal. If they don't appeal I will get the normal payment straight away. When I know more with timescales, I will update this post for anyone else who would like to know, for future reference and to say its always worth appealing, I got mental health problems, so don't give up and let the PIP people win. Always worth fighting for what you deserve to have.0

Hi I'm in the same situation as you but i didnt have to appeal it i got after i went to the assessment did you get backdated and if so congrats
If sent sent your "how your disability affects you form" back within the time frame then you'll be backdated. As i've already told you the only way you'll get your answer is to ring DWP and ASK... this post is about back dating after an appeal, totally different to yours.0
