Switching from Sainsbury's to British Gas

If I switch as part of the British gas collective switch it should save me money, but not if I factor in the exit fees from Sainsbury's energy. I can see that MSE says that Sainsbury's customers can switch and will not be charged the exit fees, but is there anywhere within Sainsbury's or British gas that confirms this? A bit nervous just relying on a sentence within the MSE switch site

Hi beefturnmail,
British Gas has assured us that if you're an existing British Gas or Sainsbury's Energy customer, you're able to switch to the MSE collective tariff without paying any exit fees on your current tariff.
Thanks,

I'm currently on the British Gas Collective Fix Feb 17, would I have to pay an early exit fee to switch to the Sainsbury's Energy Price Freeze October 17?
Thanks0 -
I have switched a couple of times between these two and never paid the exit fee because they are the supplier, same sales and cust service teams same meter readersThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
