Balance transfers/ store card.

Hi all,

I've just got a tesco credit card for 0% balance transfers. I am wanting to transfer my next balance to my credit card but as I don't have a 16 digit card number, I'm not able to transfer it in the normal way. As such the only way to transfer the balance is by using my credit card to pay the whole amount off on my online account. I know it will let me do it, but will I still get the 0% balance transfer rate or will interest be charged at the purchase rate?

Thanks,
RadHead.

That will count as a purchase.

Do you have any other credit cards? If so, which ones with what limits and balances?
How much do you owe on the store card?
  • Hi, thanks for your reply. I have no other credit cards, there is around £300 to pay on the next account. A high interest is charged on the tesco account for new purchases. Would it be advisable to apply for another credit with a 0% purchases over a certain term?
