Virgin debt cleared - keep card or cancel?

in Credit cards
Hi folks,
A bit of quick advice please on credit cards please.
I am debt free. Thank in a big way to this site.
I currently have 3 credit cards which I pay full balance on when used - a long standing Bank of Scotland Visa (8k limit), a new Halifax mastercard (£5k limit) which I've just taken out for use abroad and a Virgin card (£6.8k limit) which I applied for to take advantage of their 0% cash transfer to pay off a car loan (Saved £470). Since paid total balance on the Virgin card so it has zero balance.
I feel as though the BoS visa & Halifax mastercard are sufficient for my needs so was considering cancelling the Virgin card. I feel uneasy having too many cards - is there any good reason not to cancel it or is it best to keep it? Will ditching it affect my credit score? Never used it for anything other than a balance transfer, in fact the actual card is still in the envelope it came in!
Thanks, John

Given you have a back up card, you could ditch it.
Ignore your credit score, as it will probably plummet when you cancel it, just as it would when you take out a new card, pay off a card, go to the toilet or blow your nose.0 -
