• Morning everyone,

Still getting used to the travel time to and from work. Took me an hour to get from work to my new gym yesterday but I've resigned to the fact that it's a change to my routine that I'll just need to get used to.

Tonight will be much the same; home > dinner > make lunch for tomorrow > feet up.

Coxy - Good luck on the job applications.
AoD - Hope the toothache eases off for you.
Lainey - I heard puting very cold water in a hot water bottle provides an excellent MSE cooling tool.

Hiya Speky I'm glad the new job's going well :)

I had to put the lights on at lunchtime yesterday, the sky went black. It rained heavily and there was some impressive thunder. Not much lightning though, more next time please :D After about an hour it brightened up a bit then was stormy again for a short while. It's hazy this morning and very damp, hopefully the sun will dry everything up quickly and it'll feel fresher.

I've managed to avoid people so far this week, I'm feeling quite calm now and I don't hate anybody at the moment :D I'm going to carrying on pottering for the next few days - giving yourself permission to do nothing means you end up doing jobs because you want to, not because you have to, and you end up getting more done. Or is that just me? lol. I have some work to do but it doesn't have to be done til the 19th so I'll just do it when I'm in the mood.

Morning ((((((((((hugs))))))))))if you need one.

Frustration all round. I rang SSE to get a meter fitted, do you have the meter point number? No......we cannot fit a meter without the number. Where do we get it from? The people who put the supply in!! OH phoned the council, customer service agent had no idea what we were talking about.....?aaaarrrgghh. OH asked to be put through to some one who could help, took him 20 minutes to speak to someone. We await a phone call back with the number. Why is nothing straight forward these days????? The council are pretty useless at the best of times

An autumn morning here, very misty, it may burn off later, but right now it's quite cool. Not that I am bothered it was far too hot yesterday.

No plans for the day, we are out tomorrow and Friday, so living room and kitchen will have to wait until Saturday. I need to do a small shop at Aldi, we have to take our books back to the library at Bingham, so will go to the Aldi there.

I need to sort out the freezers and do an audit to see what if any meat etc we need for next month. Will get OH to help me.

I also have to see how I can move things around so the workmen can get to the storage heater in the back bedroom, means we have to move the big freezer around and I have to pack my two machines away.

Once the heating is done the council wallers will have to come back and paint the walls behind where the heaters were. I will be glad when it's finished. We are grateful that the work is being done. I just have to put up with the mess.

Bloods were ok and Ecg was fine but blood pressure was 161/114 so sent home to rest up and told to avoid stress (ha ha had to laugh at that one)
Got to tell DH tonight and boss tomorrow.
Its gonna be a tight month money wise after all so will need all the MSE skills i can get.
Anyhoo gonna have a cuppa now and do as doc ordered and put feet up so more mind numbing daytime tv.
Hugs x
Bright Blessings xx

Afternoon all.

It's been a very sunny and breezy day here so I managed to get all four of my white cotton rugs washed and hung out. The sun at the back has gone so I've now got one rug draped over the bench at the front of the house!

I've chomped my way through the wet grass, everything is still so soggy but the grass was almost up to ankle height. The forecast for the rest of the week and next is rain so I got myself in gear and dragged the lawnmower over it all. The grass was so wet it wouldn't fly out into the bucket so I took it off and had to stop every length and clear it out by hand. The lawn looks dreadful in a short way, piles of wet grass littering it. I'll just not look at it until Friday.

Think I've got things organised for tomorrow, I'm a bit nervous about facing FE students again for the first time in ages. Older adults were fine, teenagers are a different kettle of issues.

My little iPad took four hours to download and install the new update, the joys of living in a field. My phone is now chugging away too though I think it won't take as long. I had to fiddle with some settings as iTunes didn't recognise my phone, seems to be something to do with the W10 upgrade. It never ends.

My evening will be sitting outside for a wee while as the sun goes down, not many nice evenings left this year. And the GBBO and bed, or even GBBO in bed.

😄
