Unfair relationship claim

Hello
Does anyone know how I go about claiming for a Unfair relationship?

I have been contacted by first target who say I have a case and they can do the claim for me but they want 40% commission!! I told them what they could do with there offer as I would never pay 40% commission and just claim it myself. They have informed me that I can't claim it myself that it has to be done by a lawyer. Is this true? Do I need a lawyer to do it or can I do it myself?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Ironically, that figure is not too far off what the FCA are proposing to be unfair (which is 50%).

Solicitors are banned from cold calling. So, if they have done that they have either broken the rules or they are not really solicitors but a claims company.

You can make any complaint about an FCA regulated company using the regulated complaints process without involving third parties.

If the unfair relationship issue is related to the Plevin case then this would only apply to rejected PPI complaints. It would not apply to upheld PPI complaints.

If it is related to loans arranged by brokers where a fee and a commission was payable then it only applies if the broker was independent and a fee and a commission was taken and the amounts were not disclosed.

    Which relates to you?
