Ceiling lights

Wonder if anyone has recently bought a ceiling light they could recommend.
I fancy one of those which fit flush to the ceiling as its a relatively low ceiling and like those with lots of little bulbs on.
But I want one that gives out as much light as possible and also not to contemporary as the rest of the room is has a bit of a 'vintage' look.
Ive not started trailing the shops yet as Ive not had chance but Ive looked a lot online. Im a bit wary if buying online without seeing the actual product first as you cant always tell with a photo.
I need it quite quickly as well so just wondered if anyone has got one lately and could recommend.
Thanks

I've just removed a few beauties from my 60's bungalow, get yourself over to ebay and you'll get a vintage one - I've only bought new ones that are contemporary style - toplightco is my go to site for speccing light fittings, but not sure if there would be anything to suit your request, have a dig aroundThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
