Axa dental add-on

Axa's dental add on works out about £10/mo/person and covers up to 80% of the treatment cost (up to £300/yr) and £140/yr for prescription glasses.
This seems like a good deal. I'm routinely paying £90 for check-ups plus £100-150/yr in various fillings, cleaning, etc. I usually get a new pair of specs per year too... another £100-125.
So I'm working that out to be up to £290/yr benefit for £120 outlay.
My question is whether claiming on this will boost my renewal premium next year, or whether it's treated more as a 'cash plan' and is exempt from an increase?
i.e. I don't want to spend £120 to save £290, if I find the overall premium has gone up £300 next year.
Anyone know?

You don't say what you have added this on to.
In any case your best answer will be the one you go and get from the horse's mouth!0 -
Wouldn't it be 80% of £290? So you would have to pay £58 (plus £120).

If it went up, could you opt out again?
I assume this is an add-on to PMI? Would the add-on have a benefit in kind cost?0
