Do I need Power of attorney to appeal a parking ticket in someone elses name?

Options
I have tried researching this but have come across nothing as of yet.

If I want to appeal a parking ticket received by someone such as my mum or a friend, is it enough for them to simply consent in one way or another for me to do such a thing, or will I need to be given power of attorney over the matter?

Why a Power of Attorney? Is the person medically/mentally unfit to deal with it?

If you're talking about a private parking company ticket then, normal advice is that someone can do the work on the appeal for someone else, but the person on whose behalf the work is done signs the appeal, with their personal details (name, address etc) shown, not yours.

Do you know what you're doing in terms of appealing? Are you familiar with the newbies FAQ sticky?

Power of Attorney does not enter into this. I have Power of Attorney over my mother because she has dementia

All you need to do is appeal as IF you were that person. The scammers are not interested in a POA ..... ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN IS MONEY

Do remember that you have entered the scam industry which is NOT regulated by government
Hope you did not spend any money on that bit of advice ???

Given that you already asked this question and were told the answer on the previous thread, I don't know why you have started a new thread?

If you are needing to seek advice of a solicitor for a simple question like this, I would suggest that you are well out of your depth, and you should refer your friends to the forums for assistance.

Clearly you have also not researched the competition in this matter
