Hi,
I've just been looking at the definitions of "income" with Erudio for pre 1998 student loans - it mentions "Further Education Funding" in the Other Income section - does this means that taking out a post-grad loan would be deemed as income received from "Further Education Funding" - or is FE a specific type of education and wouldn't include Post-grad?
Sorry, it's been a while since I looked at anything to do with student loans :-)

Although I don't know the answer to your question I presume it will be referring to studentships for PhD students.0

It would not, a PhD studentship is not a loan. The OP is probably referring to the post-graduate loans that were introduced by the government this year.

Hi, yep it was the new post-grad loans i meant. I wasn't sure if a post-grad loan would be "further education funding", at least according to Erudio (sp) student loans company??0

Technically speaking FE is education up to and including level 3 courses ie. the level below HE.
Whether that's the definition Erudio are using, I can't say.0 -
Hi missbiggles1
Thanks, that was my thinking too, I've always thought of post-grads as higher education, but am worried about how Erudio will classify it.0 -

Having looked at the form, I think they're using the term incorrectly and really mean any maintenance funding for any level of education.
"(c) Further education funding
This refers to any assistance you receive to support you in further education, whether by loan, grant
or otherwise. "
