I pay £250 a year, but that pays for the upkeep of a lovely nature reserve (the builders couldn't build on about half the site because there are the remains of an historic monument). Even after the fees I feel very fortunate to live where I do.glasgowdan wrote: »...

But I share your concern - there are people who pay similar amounts, just to have some verges cut.0 -

It's good you feel fortunate about the £250pa, it would be a painful thing if you didn't. I think it would niggle me a touch though but like you say, if you like what you pay for it is of no consequence (unless you end up broke.) and money well spent.
