Hi all.
If anyone using service of safety deposit box in banks.
1. Which banks are providing safety deposit box for valuable in greater London area?
2. If any, is that protected by FSCS or similar accreditations?
3. And what should I consider before choosing particular branch?::D
4. Which is most safer? By keeping valuables at home or in safet deposit box? Any suggestions?
Your experience would be most grateful, as I am looking for one.
Thank you in advance.:T:T:T

https://www.metrobankonline.co.uk/safe-deposit-boxes/ seems to be one of the few remaining options when this has been discussed previously in threads such as:

Protection is in exchange for lending money to the banks to circulate in the financial system. Hiding stuff in a box isn't contributing anything to the economy, may as well put it in the garden.
You can get private insurance for whatever you declare as box contents.0 -
Neither the FSCS nor Metro Bank guarantees the value.
"Items should be properly insured for their full value and keeping valuables in a safe deposit box should not be seen as an alternative to insuring them."0 -
I was going to post something similar about the contents needing to be insured, but I figured the question was about whether the bank in general was covered by the FSCS as a mark of stability and general above-board-ness rather than the secret contents specifically being covered.0
