Parking in lines, could I be fined?

Hi, as you know parking is really expensive and I've been trying to find any loopholes. I'm a student and don't fancy paying £1400 a year to park my car outside my accommodation, but I found two spaces (in links) that don't have any predominant lines.
There are two cars nearby that park in similar spots but I was just wondering, if I was to park here and get a fine, could I appeal? Because the lines really aren't noticeable if there are any.
Thanks.

The highway code holds all the answers.0

Nobody here is going to advise you on how to cheat the system, to avoid paying a legitimate sum for your parking, so if this is legit/public road parking, the advice above applies, as well as an up to date perusal of PATAS decisions and guidelines but if it's a private car park and you fancy your chances with a rigged system, then the Newbies Sticky is where you start.0

Lines not being noticeable is not a way to avoid the restriction:

...and in both cases the single yellow line running along the road is very visible. What you seem to be unaware of - which is concerning for a qualified driver - is that double or single yellows apply from property boundary to property boundary including/beyond verges, etc.
Not just on the road 'this side' of the yellow line. You can't avoid it by parking the 'verge side' of a yellow line! You will get a PCN.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

£1400 for a car permit?? How and where is this.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Looking at the area you might find parts, if not all of your car missing when you get back!0
