Ok, it's not the product that everybody buy every day : Autentico paint. It's kind of vintage paint often based on chalk. You can buy 100ml pots for samples because of course, it's quite hard to have an idea with just the color chart. Several websites sell the brand Autentico. I choose shabbyand.co.uk because they were advertising samples in the paint quality I wanted, "eggshell" for exterior works. I bought 4 different reds. They write me to say that they actually don't have samples in eggshell, only in chalk paint. I buy them anyway and when I get the 4 sample pots, I can see that one only, "red stripe", is a bright tomato red, what I look for, the others are rather pinkish. So I order a litre pot of that red stripe and receive my order. The weekend coming, we start to prepare the door to be repainted and my husband pours the pot into a bucket ... horror... it's not the right red, it's one of the pinkinsh ones. No label on the pot. I keep for proof the sample + the pot top which is full of paint and write to the website's lady about the mistake and she answers me that I am the one mistaken, the paint color is not always exactly the same each time !!! I answer that I have the sample pots which allow me to see exactly what red she sent me and she simply doesn't answer. What to do ? Nothing I suppose but advise the fellows who like home decoration to avoid shabbyand.co.uk . I further bought the "red stripe" in eclecticathome.co.uk and guess what, it was the same tomato red as the sample, the right paint and with a label on the pot.
