When did London leave the UK and become an overseas destination?

I presume the question was about London, Ontario. Judging by the comments it seems remarkably similar to London in England.

Actually, contactless is the easiest way to get round on public transport - Oyster cards are bein phased out.
I don't think everyone has contactless.
We used contactless when we were in London 10 days ago.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

If it was my first trip into Central London, I'd pick a good weather forecast, just like today.

I'd arm myself with an easy to follow map, and perhaps a compass.

All I'd want to do is enjoy everything on foot at street level, starting at Victoria Station [from Croydon]......Buckingham Palace.....The Mall.....St James's Park..... Horseguards.....Westminster Abbey/Houise of Parliament [and have a look at the Thames].....Whitehall.....Trafalgar Square.....The Strand.....Covent Garden area.....and retrace a convenient route back to Victoria.

Walk.....sit.....watch.....and just take in everything around. No need to spend a lot of money.:)
