Not disclosing existing condition in insurance application

To add to the issue, even if you want to make a claim for a broken leg for instance, diabetes means that you are at a higher risk of complication, not healing as well etc... so even then, they could say that your condition affected your treatment and the cost of it.
Good point. Also I understand that diabetes insipidus(not diabetes mellitus) is sensitive to different alcohol/drug consumption patterns; which the insurer might consider a risk.0 -

Not with diabetes insipidus - maybe diabetes mellitus.0 -

Interesting. My endocronologist says any alcohol is fine but worst that can happen is I drink too much of a volume of liquid, in which case I just delay my next dose of medication to allow the liquid to pass.0 -
Something I forgot to add in my earlier post, which I'm sure you would have probably experienced as well when obtaining quotes was that once a specific ailment was submitted, every insurers website asked EXACTLY the same questions.
I have the reference number of an online quote that I will likely use, but what many others have suggested is to seek out an insurance broker who will try to get cover for my individual circumstances.
There is a web site which I think is the Insures association (or something like that ABI??) who will provide the details of a specialist broker in you area.
I will check this out before I purchase my online quote and perhaps it is something also worth considering for your own needs as well.
Hope you get it sorted.0 -
